The first major trade involved Angel Reese going to the Atlanta Dream, and then the Chicago Sky finally executed their rumored trade with the Los Angeles Sparks, as the teams exchanged Ariel Atkins and Rickea Jackson. The Sky also made another trade, sending out their own 2028 first-round pick for the Washington Mystics’ Jacy Sheldon.

The Mystics likewise were involved in another potentially significant move, as the Toronto Tempo issued a restricted free agent qualifying offer to Shakira Austin. The Mystics have two days to match the offer; if they don’t, Shakira is headed to Toronto. Beckett Harrison already analyzed the decision DC faces with Austin.

While Ezi Magbegor did re-sign with the Seattle Storm, it’s not confirmed that she will still be in Seattle when the season begins; a trade remains possible.
